The HoodMart 2012-DB Restaurant Hood System with Economy Makeup-Air is a 12-foot by 48-inch kitchen hood that provides a reliable and energy-saving solution for commercial kitchens. Its Short Cycle Makeup Air with IPS (Internal Perforated Supply) technology removes grease-laden vapors from the air while replacing it without causing negative air pressure. This allows for the use of a fresh air makeup air fan instead of a costly tempered air unit.
The IPS (Internal Perforated Supply Plenum) takes advantage of the Coanda Effect created inside the hood, further assisting with capture and containment. This design ensures the comfort of the employees working in the kitchen, maintaining a comfortable temperature and preventing hot air from blowing down on them while they are cooking and preparing food.
The Commercial Kitchen Hood System includes a 48-inch by 12-foot hood, an exhaust fan (3000CFM, 115/230V), a supply fan (low profile untempered, 2400 CFM, .250 SP, 230V, 60HZ), a 304 stainless IPS (internal perforated supply plenum), a mounting curb wall/roof (2 pieces), stainless steel grease baffle filters, stainless grease cups, lights, speed control, and hanging brackets.
Constructed with industrial-quality, the restaurant hood is made from 18-gauge stainless steel, with all joints welded liquid-tight without seams by an automatic wire-fed MIG welder. The design ensures easy cleaning and maintenance, with a stainless grease cup that attaches to the tray running beneath the entire length of the hood. The hood also features pre-wired light(s), variable speed control, and stainless steel UL-listed easy-to-clean grease baffle filters.
