This allows the use of a fresh air makeup air fan instead of a costly tempered air unit. The IPS (Internal Perforated Supply Plenum) takes advantage of the Coanda Effect created inside the hood, further assisting with capture and containment.
The makeup air hood design provides comfort for the employees working in the kitchen, maintaining a comfortable temperature for cooking and preparation, without hot air blowing down on their heads. HoodMart manufactures commercial kitchen makeup air hoods to address the specific needs and wants of customers, offering a variety of styles: Short Cycle, Perforated Supply Plenum (PSP), Back Return Supply Plenum (BSP), and even an Exhaust option with diffusers in the ceiling.
HoodMart also offers heating and cooling makeup air options if required. The Tempered MUA units are complete with all necessary gas and electrical controls, ensuring maximum design flexibility and application versatility.
